an Archmage who is no longer human. Zagreus Erikryptos was born from Kain's DNA, a clone modified to fit the Eorisian Sinare genus. Eorisians are human-like for the most part, with the additional ability to see in the dark and limited telepathic and telekinetic power. As a Sinare, Zagreus shares his "parent's" connection with the elements, specifically fire. However, unlike Kain he has no ability to shape-shift, which left him considered a failure by the same organization that prized Kain. Living in the original's shadow and largely dismissed by his creators gave Zagreus an axe to grind, which lead him toward the dark arts and flirtation with the dreaded Abyss. Through communion with otherworldly entities, Zagreus gave life to the unborn and uncreated creatures by replacing his own flesh with the beings of the abyss. Most of the organs replaced were internal . . . the voice box, heart and lungs and guts. . . the only real sign than anything is unusual is an iridescent black dragon's claw, with six fingers that has replaced his right hand. With the power these beings give him, he now considers himself greater, and more importantly separate, from Kain. However, because of the nature of the transformation, he is no longer a singular entity, but a "Legion" and will often refer to himself as "we."
